There will be no Carnival / Show in 2007

On the second Saturday of July each year the Ambassadors run The Ambassadors of Borrowash & Erewash Show at Deans Drive Playing Fields, Borrowash. The event has been running since 1984 and has steadily grown in size and popularity to become an established event in the carnival calendar.

The Show attracts an average gate of 3000 people to the ground although it is enjoyed by many more who watch the parade as it passes on it's way around the village of Borrowash, from it's starting point at Hawthorn Avenue to it's finish at the ground. The parade assembles at 11.30, to move off at 12.00pm, and reaches the ground around about 12.45pm, just in time for the opening of the Show at 1.00pm.

As well as the stalls and side attractions, the Main Arena Events include Marching Bands, A Children's Entertainer, Gymnastic Displays, A Martial Arts Display, Irish Dancing, A Dog Display Team and The Rick Sheehan Roadshow. The host band, the Ambassadors, also performs a 20-minute arena show. It is hoped in 2004 to increase the size of the event to include a Motor Show on the north side of the ground.

If you are interested in having a stall at the event or would like to enter a float or other attraction in the parade then you can reach the Show Committee by emailing us on stalls@ambassadorsshowband.org or floats@ambassadorsshowband.org

If you think you have an event for the shows main arena or side show and would like it to be considered then email us on attractions@ambassadorsshowband.org.
